Bad Maw is a boss that you need to kill for story progression.
Doesn't drop any notable items but I have heard of killing him for XP/Eridium like this guy here.
However, he does tend to drop blue/purple items.

Boom and Bewm Location
Boom and Bewm are one of the first boss fights one will encounter when starting Borderlands 2.
They will always drop some type of grenade mod.
